Every Florentine knows this special lion: Marzocco. The noble heraldic animal, and one of the symbols of Florence, holds a shield with the Florentine Lily in its paw. The sculpture, created by the sculptor Donatello in 1420, is now in the Museo del Bargello, and a sandstone copy is prominent and unmissable on the Piazza della Signora, in front of the Palazzo Vecchio. The bottle of Roberto Ugolini's Marzocco is also very Florentine, in a warm violet, another very typical color for Florence.
